Flashnet running with purpose at Hospice Cross
On July 13, Flashnet proudly joined the Hospice Cross / YOU Run for THEM event in Brașov – not just as a sponsor, but as an active part of the movement. Organized by HOSPICE Casa Speranței, the race was a celebration of effort, empathy and community, all in support of free palliative care for children and adults facing incurable illnesses.
From first-time runners tackling the 2 km fun run, to colleagues joining the 4 km course or teaming up for the Flashnet Relay (3×2 km), (the 3×2 km team race that proudly carried our name) our participation showed that determination and heart go hand in hand. We proudly fielded two teams in the “Flashnet Relay”, bringing out the best in teamwork and shared purpose.
In total, around 15 Flashnet colleagues joined the event either by running onsite or remotely. Just as important, a group of Flashnet volunteers supported logistics, helped the organizers and were the loudest cheerleaders for everyone crossing the finish line.
But perhaps the most moving moment of the day was the race of children and patients, who covered a short but powerful route, reminding everyone why this cause truly matters: to bring comfort and care to those facing life-limiting illnesses, and to support their families through difficult moments.
What made this event so special was its openness, welcoming everyone from elite runners to kids experiencing their first race. It was about movement in all its forms, and Flashnet was there for it: from encouraging colleagues to get involved in this charitable action to supporting the event organizers and showing up as part of a wider community that cares.
