Flashnet, cooking with purpose for the ones in need
Sometimes teamwork takes a different shape. A few weeks ago, our Flashnet colleagues traded their laptops for aprons and joined the “Dinner with Purpose” initiative, cooking for mothers and children in need of a warm meal and a moment of joy.
In the kitchen, it felt like an army of 50 people. With laughter, energy and busy hands, they filled the space with life. Some were returning volunteers from last year, already knowing that you have to show up with rolled-up sleeves and an open heart.
Together, they prepared a meal for 9 mothers and 35 children. The menu was creative, colourful, and made with care. But more than that, it was a gesture of solidarity. For Flashnet, this was the second time joining Cina cu Folos, and certainly not the last. What makes it so meaningful is not only the cooking itself, but the connection: sharing smiles with children, lightening the burden for mothers and being reminded of how powerful small acts of kindness can be.
At Flashnet and across Lucy Group, we share the belief that technology alone doesn’t make communities thrive, people do. Volunteering initiatives like this show how compassion, teamwork and purpose are just as central to who we are as the technology we provide.
As Ramona and Vlad from Flashnet put it after the event: “It’s impossible not to feel lucky when you see how much a simple meal can mean to someone. That’s an experience I recommend to everyone.”
